The online broadcast in Sieraków is now in its 8th season. You can follow the history of this site on the KOO (Eagle Conservation Committee) YouTube channel, where around 200 videos have already been made public: • Black Storks Sieraków.

This is one of the best-documented and longest-monitored black stork breeding sites by the KOO—spanning nearly 30 years! During this time, the pair has changed many times, but by tradition, we call the male Notek and the female Nutka. It is an incredibly charming place, thanks to the spruce-lined forest and the songs of numerous passerine bird species.

When the old nest fell along with the nesting tree, ornithologists used private funds to build a new one right next to it, at the same height on a neighbouring tree. Thanks to this, the storks continue to nest here safely: • How to build a nest for a black stork?...

Last year, the birds raised 4 chicks. The nest and its surroundings are protected by a designated conservation zone; however, people sometimes violate the regulations and disturb the peace. Currently, "work" is underway on the production of eggs. We are waiting for the first and keeping our fingers crossed for a successful season.

Pod nieobecność bocianów kruk porywa pierwsze jajo bocianów czarnych w Puszczy Noteckiej. Nie wiemy, dlaczego żaden z ptaków dorosłych nie był na gnieździe i nie pilnował lęgu. Takie są naturalne prawa. Kruk skorzystał z tej sytuacji.
