NIGHT (18.01/19.01) - Krum spent the night in the Chirpanska Koriya Protected Area - an old oak forest in the land of the town of Chirpan, located in the "Yagach" area.
- Bulgaria: Chirpan - a town (and the administrative centre of the homonymous Chirpan Municipality) in Stara Zagora Province of south-central Bulgaria


DAY (19.01) - Krum spent the morning below the dam wall (07:30–13:20), and in the afternoon moved to the northern, shallow area

- Krum searched for food and rested in the southern area of the Chirpan dam (reservoir). Since 13:30, his location has been on the northern edge of the reservoir, where the Tekirska River appears to be creating a wet area. (sunset today: 17:16)
- Krum hľadal potravu a odpočíval v južnej časti priehrady Chirpan. Od 13:30 sa nachádzal na severnom okraji nádrže, kde rieka Tekirska zrejme vytvára vlhkú oblasť.(západ slnka dnes: 17:16)

- Krum flew back to the reservoir in the morning after spending the night in the oak forest. He spent the morning below the dam wall (07:30–13:20), and in the afternoon moved to the northern, shallow area where the river flows into the reservoir. He also spent the night there.
- Krum ráno odletel späť k nádrži z nocľahu v dubovom lese. Dopoludnie strávil pod priehradným múrom (7:30 - 13:20) a popoludní bol v severnej (plytkej) oblasti, kde sa rieka vlieva do rezervoáru. Tam aj prenocoval.

Mr. Darren Weeks repeatedly visited Krum.

Today he visited the Chirpan Dam area. / Dnes navštívil oblasť rezervoáru Chirpan.

Managed to get out today to a different reservoir. Main purpose was to look for Black Storks. We saw one as it flew over us but have to say the area was stunning a so peaceful. The icing on the cake however was seeing not one but THREE White Tailed Eagles. So cool, and with such an amazing backdrop! Feeling blessed!
The area is mostly marshy with very high reeds. A very small stream runs through the entire length. At the end is a large reservoir.

Podarilo sa nám dnes vyraziť k inej vodnej nádrži. Hlavným cieľom bolo hľadať bociany čierne. Jedného sme síce videli, ako preletel nad nami, ale musím povedať, že celé územie bolo nádherné a neuveriteľne pokojné. Skutočnou čerešničkou na torte však bolo, že sme nevideli jedného, ale až TROCH orlov bielochvostých. Úžasné – a ešte k tomu s takým úchvatným pozadím! Cítili sme sa nesmierne vďační.
Oblasť je prevažne močaristá s veľmi vysokým tŕstím. Po celej jej dĺžke preteká úzky potôčik. Na konci sa nachádza veľká vodná nádrž.
