- in the LK forum there were informal suggestions for naming the trio of storks at the clinic (including the names Bonus, Plus and Extra), but regular voting did not take place
- some use the name PLUS for the chick in Eedi's nest (No1) and BONUS (No2) for the chick in the nest of Karl II and Kaia
- Urmas used the name Bonus2 for the storklet in Eedi's nest

No1/named by Urmas Bonus2 was introduced as a foster chick to the nest of Eedi, Karula NP (no public streaming, there is trail camera)

No2/named Bonus (colour/white plastic ring number 7184) was introduced as a foster chick to the nest of Karl II and Kaia, Karula NP (streamed nest https://youtu.be/9JMRFPM5NIE)

Next message is not that fun...
As there was difficult to control trail cam near Eedis nest we checked situation on place. All four chicks are predated there! Now, looking from memory card of camera, we could say that first chick was predated in evening 16th of July, two chicks in 21st of July and last one in 22nd of July.
Because of certain delay of taking of photo or video by trail camera, no any signs of visible predator. Seems it happened always so quickly, that camera was not able to fix the action. Only with two last cases we could hear some seldom wing flapping under the nest. No voice of chicks on ground nor voice of predator.
Half eaten (by bird of prey) bodies of chicks were 30-60m from nest. According the time of predation (full day) and speed of attack, dense trees around and behaviour pattern of predation it was Goshawk, most probably.
So, one orphan chick is left, in Karula nest.
Our volunteers family brought more fish to Eedi, as there female stork did not show last two weeks and chicks were smaller. But we stopped feeding of Eedi, to pay more attention to Karls nest. Eedi should manage by himself.
I don't know, if you want to see predated chicks of Eedi?

Madli asked Urmas also about Eedi (my big request) on this action (autumn 2021, viewtopic.php?p=985#p985) and his answer: "Eedi - he had chicks in the nest this year. The trail camera was badly placed and it showed photos from only half of the nest, but it appeared that there were 3-4 chicks in there. Unfortunately his nest was predated by a white-tailed eagle and all chicks were killed. So Eedi was left with no offspring this year."

oh my god - all four eaten . I don't want to see any photos. Poor chicks. So of the six chicks from J&J, only one remained. The series of misfortunes continues...I am speechless.
