00.18.30 There's a pig's oink sound! So there is a wild boar, or many, under the nest, breaking some twigs on the bushes, or I have no idea what are they eating there :) (maybe the fish that Bonus dropped the other day)

Edit: also around 00.21 there are more hog sounds. I don't hear any "barking" then or later. Only twigs cracking, possibly chewing and a loud breathing.
So this time I stay sure to my answer. There's a wild hog there.

Edit 2: Why did nobody tell that the other "barking" was at 00.26. That doesn't sound like a wild boar at all.

Hi Madli, yes that time these are wild boars sounds, but later to me it sounds different (but I'm not expert on voices in the - night - forest)

edit:
the rain is heavy

and it isn't warm :-(

warning (in forecast) "Aug 1 by day heavy rain"

most probably it will not be feeding today, but this isn't problem for so big/old storklets and their feathers correspond (almost completely) to the feathers of adults, so I believe none of them will be harmed by this weather

I also seen constant breaks in the stream. I hope that the rain hasn't damaged any of the cables or other mechanics :?

I agree with Marika- the storklets will be fine without a day of feeding. They have a nice reserve from the past days (not sure about Bonus, though).
I just hope they are not so dumb to try to start flying with this rain :) probably not..

very unlikely (wet wings are hard to flap and make manoeuvring very difficult)

maiden flight/fledging depends also of weather - chicks become more active if sun will shine and less clouds; with wet feathers there is not good to start first attempts of flights, also if crashed even more wet they become from undergrowth bushes and other vegetation. ...

what does starting a flight depend on? Of course, nutrition, but the weather during development plays an important role, because during drought, birds' feathers grow more slowly and the flight out of the nest may be delayed. The weather must be dry and (better than calm) better when it is windless - wet feathers do not encourage flying.
