10.55 The gusts of wind are stronger today. The nest is swaying and the trees around are moving.


K2 stands and the others are lying down. We can see that even the juvenile's feathers have a bit of a green glow when the angle is right. Although their feathers seem usually very dark brown/black.

11.41 K2 is the first one to notice a parent arriving. It starts begging. The others quickly join.

The camera image is very bad- the lighting is awful, plus the fast movement makes the images very blurry


There's hardly any room for Kaia in the nest...

I see a piece of food falling on the floor. I can't tell what it is..

K2 still has some food in his mouth. It shakes its head and tries to adjust it. There are definitely frog legs!

12.47 The chicks start looking around.




12.48 They start twittering. Another stork flies around the nest! It's not Kaia?

[Madli]

The stork lands on a branch under the nest!


The stork is unringed.

[Madli]

The chicks are twittering, pumping with their wings, and snapping bills towards the visitor. So it is definitely a stranger.




Edit: the wing pumping stopped very soon. Instead the wings are close to the body and they touch the nest floor and rim with their bills.

The stranger looks at the chicks.

12.19 - The cicks noticed something and alerted. The sound of a bird could be heard in the background.




A bird probably flew over, because the chicks calmed down after a while and continued to rest .

edit: It could have been the stork that later moved near the nest.
