- Origin: Offspring of a permanently disabled pair living at the Makov Rescue Centre (Czechia), who successfully raise their own chicks every year.
- Wintering: Bulgaria
- Summering (2025, 2026): Upper Austria
- Breeding (2026): First successful nesting (3 chicks fledged).
- Migration update: On 21 September, Krum resumed movement and covered more than 500 km in a single day — a distance rarely seen on the European continent and typically recorded only during migration across Africa.

- Distance: approx. 500 km (!) as the crow flies
- HUNGARY: Kéleshalom - a village in Jánoshalma District of Bács-Kiskun County

- Distance: approx. 465 km (!) as the crow flies
- BULGARIA: Botevo - a village in Hayredin Municipality, Vratsa Province
(it is situated on a gently sloping southern hillside on the left bank of the Burzina River, which flows from the reservoir of the same name located about 500 metres to the west)





Burzina Reservoir (язовир Бързина, also sometimes associated with the neighbouring village of Botevo as яз. Ботево/Бързина) is a small local water reservoir located in northwestern Bulgaria.

Migration - third day

- BULGARIA: Botevo - a village in Hayredin Municipality, Vratsa Province
(it is situated on a gently sloping southern hillside on the left bank of the Burzina River, which flows from the reservoir of the same name located about 500 metres to the west)

Krum crossed the Balkan Mt. and

2025: 18.09 (arrival to Belozem/wintering area)
2024: 20.09 (arrival to Belozem/wintering area)
2023: 27.09 crossing the border to Bulgaria

When crossing the mountain range (the Balkan Mt./Stara Planina and the Sredna Gora/Middle Mt.), Krum will face a crosswind to a gentle tailwind from the north-west, which should help him overcome the mountain massif. The visibility is favourable for visual navigation.
