The site appears to consist of a series of wastewater stabilisation lagoons. Such lagoons can become surprisingly productive habitats, often supporting fish and other aquatic prey. For a migrating Black Stork, they may provide an important feeding opportunity as well as a safe overnight roost. Today's GPS data should reveal whether our stork simply roosted there or remained to forage.
