Hello everyone :-)

CHICKS 🐥
- 1st chick: 24 days old (hatched on 14.06)

EGGS
🥚🥚unhatched (laid on 13.05 at 22:22 and 16.05 at 02:05)

Stork chicks grow exponentially. 90 days in the nest is like 18-21 years for humans. This means that 1 day in the nest is like almost 3 months for a human child. That is why their transformation is so amazing and fast.

youtube chat info - thx to everyone
English translation only from now on – assisted by Gemini

YouTube comments do not reflect all nest events throughout the day, including chick feedings; therefore, the log is unfortunately incomplete.

Nest Activity Log 09/07/2026

Weather
02:19 — Very heavy rain at the nest during the night.
06:27 — Weather reports indicate a heavy rain cluster passing over the region within the hour, with temperatures expected to reach 26°C to 28°C by the weekend.
08:38 — The rain stops and the sun begins to shine.

Timeline of Events

02:19 — The single chick is vocalising continuously during the heavy rainfall.

06:41 — The chick is active and exploring the nest.
06:46 — The chick engages in a preening session.
09:11 — The chick is shivering to generate body heat and stay warm after the cold night.

12:08:50 — Kergu arrives at the nest.
12:09 — Kergu delivers the first food portion, consisting of a large fish.
12:14:25 — Kergu regurgitated the second food portion containing a few smaller pieces. A fish falls into the branches at the edge of the nest; the chick successfully retrieves one piece at 12:15:05 but cannot reach the rest.
12:16 — Kergu departs from the nest.

14:11:34 — The chick slices over the nest edge (good poop-shot).

17:50:53 — Kergu arrives at the nest for the second feeding.
17:51:30 — Kergu delivers two portions of food. The chick consumes every piece and afterwards collects small beetles from the nest floor.
17:54:38 — Kergu departs from the nest.

19:17 — A very loud aircraft or helicopter passes near the nest area.

Urmas answered:

Kerli was yesterday whole day in wind park and flew at evening to the nest forest. Last hour we have data before transmission, Kerli was on the edge of nest forest, probably sitting on solitary trees there. It is about 600m of nest. She was also formerly in nest forest, but not appearing in nest. She could have some health problem? Though, it could be caused of extreme wet conditions (not easy to fly with wet feathers).

About chick:
Urmas knows what he can or cannot do (law) and what is almost impossible to do due to circumstances - practical limitations.
