Hello everyone

after week of silence data arrived

While the adults are already arriving at their nesting grounds, our focus remains on the fascinating movements of the younger birds still navigating the Mediterranean.
After spending a few weeks wandering east around Cogolin, Arvo now covered 1 522 km.
Iksi after a quick round-trip excursion south from the Messolonghi area, current total stands at 1 586 km.

Iksi shifted from the Evinos river area in the east to the Achelous river delta in the west. This is likely driven by the start of the rice-growing season. The Achelous delta is a vast agricultural hub where rice fields are being flooded right now, creating perfect foraging conditions. Additionally, the Achelous delta is much larger and more diverse than the Evinos area
