Hello everyone :-)

Estonia - former TIMMU's nest (a NEW MALE with Latvian rings)

Today at 6:47, the middle chick of the K. nest was still at the nest, and so far, it has not returned. The male bird also waited for 40 minutes to be certain that his duties had ended.
This chick stayed at the nest for definitely more than 100 days. It would actually be possible to calculate the exact age if we knew how old it was on the ringing date, 26.06 (with a wing length of 360 mm and weight of 2860 g). The other two chicks have already been living their own lives for at least 10 days. But it wouldn’t be surprising if this youngster still returned to the nest by evening.

Hello everyone :-)

Nurme's companion arrived at the nest late yesterday evening and looking this mess in it. The nest was supported again because there was a risk that it would collapse in the near future. They will build it better anyway, according to their own vision.

"..... today Nurme's GPS had sent in the morning flight point in Latvia. Point taken north of Riga at 10.58. So he may still reach Estonia today. ....."
