It is very likely that our Uku, or rather his transmitter, will send us data again during his spring migration (only when he reaches at the scheduled data transmission time an area with good GSM coverage). If we receive new information, we will inform you immediately.[

After leaving Europe and crossing the Sea of Marmara (western route - flying over the Marmara Islands to Anatolia), Uku spent four days traversing Anatolia (and the Gulf of İskenderun). In the following two days, data came from Syria, and after a safe flight over Lebanon and northern Israel, he entered Jordan, where his transmitter went silent.
This is the first year we are tracking Uku with a GPS transmitter, so we don’t yet know where he spends the winter. Now we wait — hopefully, the signal will return in spring, bringing with it the full story of his first recorded migration.
