KRUM (2023) - wintering - subadult male from Makov Rescue Station

- Today, Krum moved approximately 13 km west from his night roost near Gita towards Chirpan. His route took him past the Derzhava reservoir (visible in photo 1) and then over the northern edge of the reservoir near the village of Zeytovo (photo 2).
In the morning (7:00–8:50), Krum searched for food near the Gita 1 reservoir dam. He then flew west toward Chirpan, resting near the southern edge of the Chirpan reservoir from 9:20 to 11:30. Since midday, he’s stayed along the northern, shallower edge of the reservoir, likely taking advantage of low water levels and good feeding spots.

- Dnes sa Krum presunul približne 13 km na západ od svojho nocoviska neďaleko Gity smerom k Chirpanu. Jeho trasa viedla okolo nádrže Derjava (viditeľná na fotografii 1) a potom ponad severný okraj rezervoáru pri dedine Zeytovo (fotografia 2).
Ráno (7:00 – 8:50) Krum hľadal potravu v blízkosti priehrady nádrže Gita1. Potom odletel na západ smerom k Chirpanu a odpočíval blízko (asi) pri južnom okraji nádrže Chirpan od 9:20 do 11:30. Od poludnia sa zdržiaval v severnom, ​​plytšom konci nádrže, pravdepodobne využívajúc nízku hladinu vody a dobré miesta na kŕmenie.

- in October 2019, this storklet spent a longer time in the Chirpan area (Bulgaria)
