no ringing today

- timing depends on 1/ specific project goals, 2/ site accessibility, and 3/ individual chick behaviour
- chick age 45–55 is the best time for action transmitter (if goal is post-fledge tracking), but there is greater risk of premature fledging
- btw. ringing + transmitter: 58 days old/2019 Oru, Aru - both jumped/flew out; 55, 55, 53 days old/2023 Kalvi, Kiire, Kerri - 2 jumped/flew out (all the others actions were earlier)

Given the high mortality rate, it is better to just believe that those we observed will belong to the small group that will successfully reach the wintering ground and continue to live happily.
