Hello everyone :-)

AGE: 1st chick - 39 days old ; 2nd chick - 38 days; 3rd chick - 36 days old
4th egg did not hatch

FEEDINGs
6 x : Kergu -3 x + Kerli - 3x

- 06.48 Kerli
- 09.08 Kergu
- 13.20 Kerli
- 14.12 Kergu
- 17.22 Kerli
- 17.33 Kergu

Ringing in Kergu's nest will probably be delayed until it's possible to equip a transmitter, to avoid multiple disturbing to the nest. (info by our Madli shared via email on Tue 1 Jul, 18:55 )

- they chirps some times and no body arrives tot he nest

today at 10.49 they all started chirping and it seemed on food delivery - but nobody landed on the nest
probably one BS was sitting on a branch out of camera view
they fell silent at 10.59 and it seemed like they were following a departing individual

In some camera shots, the youngest storklet looks really very, very small

Image

"A young bird was captured in northern Slovakia in January 2017. It spent the winter in the rehabilitation center in Zázrivá. It was released in the Bratislava area at the end of March. It is a smaller stork, probably due to lack of food. This is probably why the bird did not migrate to Africa during its first winter."

This little stork was found in the winter. It had been overwintering at a rescue station and was released in the spring with a transmitter (22.03.2017). It successfully migrated to Africa in the fall, but the connection was lost there (29.01.2018).

Kerli is not in hurry to feed them immediately (feeding at 13.20)

- chirping started at 13.18.22 (chirping, wing flapping, feeding circle), than for a short while they are observing and 13.18.35 again the same behaviour, 13.18.45 it seems she landed on the nearby branch (out of camera view)
- Kerli arrives ("walk in") to the nest at 13.20.20 and feeds the chicks (13.20.35 regurgitating ends)
- Kerli out 13.20.55 (arrival and departure from the right end of the nest)

it seems to be warm day (still windy)
