Mr. Dimitar Popov, PhD (Doctor of Zoology) Project Coordinator GREEN BALKANS - Stara Zagora NGO visited the area where our Krum spent the day on 03. and 04.03.2025.

15.28 I am at Krum's favourite spot
One Black stork flew away, but not sure it was Krum as I couldn't see tag on the back
It flew from this dry canal PHOTO 1
There were one great regret and one grey heron, both disturbed by low flying helicopter
Plenty of Lapwings
All the rice paddies are ploughed right now. Only one small green spot.

Well, this Black stork is not turning
Or moving, so I give up to try seeing ring
Well, it moved but went down into canal so lost it
Some update, there are two storks, but couldn't see ring again. Another helicopter flushed them
So Krum has at least two more storks around
That's it. Lost them both.

Krum flew in the morning to Chalakovi at turned back. Continued to the wider area of the confluence Srebra into Maritsa and turned back to his preferred irrigation canal. At 11.33.27 (latest localisation) he was still flying/circling - speed 39 km/h (GPS).

Krum odletel ráno do Chalakovi a otočil sa späť. Pokračoval do širšej oblasti sútoku rieky Srebra do Marice a vrátil sa k svojmu obľúbenému zavlažovaciemu kanálu. O 11.33.27 (posledná lokalizácia) ešte letel/krúžil - rýchlosť 39 km/h (GPS).

- Tomorrow morning we will have a better look at his flight today - Krum enjoyed the warm day. He flew west (to Chalakovi), east (to Mirovo), north (north of Belozem), ...
- Zajtra ráno budeme dobre/lepšie vidieť jeho dnešný let - Krum si užíval teplý deň. Letel na západ (Chalakovi), na východ (Mirovo), na sever (severne od Belozemu), ...



- Mr. Popov was waiting for him exactly here yesterday and Krum didn't fly there. But he was there this morning, and for many hours the previous days.
- Presne tu ho včera čakal pán Popov a Krum tam nepriletel. Ale bol tam dnes ráno a aj predchádzajúce dni dlhé hodiny.

Bulgaria: Belozem - a village in Rakovski Municipality of Plovdiv Province

- Krum enjoyed the exceptionally warm weather and flew over the area to the west, east, and north.
- Krum si užíval mimoriadne teplé počasie a poletoval nad okolím na západ, na východ aj na sever.



- Krum 06.03 was again looking for food in the morning and afternoon at the place where Mr. Popov was waiting for him on 05.03 (and Krum did not visit there that day).
- Krum 06.03 opäť hľadal ráno aj popoludní potravu na mieste, kde ho čakal p. Popov 05.03 (a v ten deň tam Krum nezavítal).
