The Maritsa Iztok (Iztok = east) Complex is very large energy complex. It consists of three lignite-fired thermal power stations. The complex is the largest source of CO2 emissions in Bulgaria.
The far east corner of Radnevo is the location of the Maritsa Iztok-2 power station. This power station was ranked as the industrial facility that is causing the highest damage costs to health and the environment in Bulgaria and the entire European Union

Komplex Maritsa Iztok (=východ) je veľmi rozsiahly energetický komplex. Pozostáva z troch tepelných elektrární spaľujúcich hnedé uhlie. Komplex je najväčším zdrojom emisií CO2 v Bulharsku.
Na vzdialenom východe rohu Radneva je umiestnenie elektrárne Maritsa Iztok-2. Táto elektráreň bola zaradená ako priemyselný areál, ktorý spôsobuje najvyššie náklady na škody na zdravie a životné prostredie v Bulharsku a celej Európskej únii.
