Chioara (GT translation)
The village of Chioara, renamed Lunca by Decree 799/1964, was abolished following the floods of 1970, its inhabitants moving to the localities of Tandarei, Vladeni, Facaeni, some even reaching Slobozia, in the Slobozia Noua neighborhood. After the displacement of the inhabitants, by order of Ceausescu, the church of the village of Chioara, as well as that of the village of Brailita, located across the Ialomita river, were demolished by dynamiting, so that the inhabitants would not return and re-establish these villages. Kuremari moved today too. The newest location is in Romania to the west from Burgas.
