Kalvi continued to the south - south-west and the newest localisation is in Hungary - near the border with Serbia (very warm weather/thermals + tail wind)

Kelvi flew too much to the west today - we will see what next days, all is still very open

One of the oldest protected areas of the Csongrád-Csanád county (declared protected since 1944), the Ásotthalmi memorial forest - Kiss Ferenc emlékerdő, is located in the area of Ásotthalom. There has been no human intervention in the Ásotthalm memorial forest for at least a hundred years. A typical sandy habitat with declining forest stands and sandy desert glades.

The Bogárzó in Ásotthalom, also located in the area of Ásotthalom, was only included among the protected natural values in 1993. This is a low-lying area along the Bogárzó channel. The canal is bordered partly by planted and partly by natural forests.

To the southeast of Ásotthalom are the Ásotthalomi bogs, one of which is Csodarét/Miraclemeadow. Due to its botanical values, Csodarét was already under national protection. Every year, a population of marsh gladiolus with tens of thousands of plants, which is unique in Central Europe, blooms here.

Much more recent (1993) is the protection of the Bogárzó in Ásotthalom, a low-lying, semi-arid area along the Bogárzó channel. The canal is bordered by partly planted and partly natural forests/semi-natural woodland. The old willow trees in the clearings are a picturesque sight. Its botanical interest is the csipkés gyöngyvessző (Spiraea crenata - commonly called scalloped spirea) and the Broad-leaved helleborine ((Epipactis helleborine) . Kalvi continued to Serbia - to the border with Croatia. Turned from there to the east, but later again to the south. Stork has newest localisation in the Tisza river area, to the north of the Dukatar weekend settlement - Mošorin
