Fernando often practise with a feather in his beak - this reminds me of Dumbo the elephant (the main character of the animated fantasy film with the same title), who flew for the first time thanks to a feather he hold with his trunk. Eventually, he believed in himself and realised that he doesn't need that feather to fly.
