Today, an adult male landed on our artificial nest in the Forest and immediately started cleaning. We do not know if it is Notek, i.e. the owner of the nest from last year. However, he acted at ease, as if he had known the place and its surroundings for a long time. He arranged sticks and moss. Perhaps he tried his luck in a different nest right after his migration, he was now spanked by another male, so he went back to the old place. But where is his female "Notka"? Perhaps she did not accept the new nest and changed its location? Of course, this is just our guess. Time will tell what the fate of this black stork position will be this season. We remind you that the previous nest tree fell over at the beginning of the year and the present one is completely made by the members of the ECC: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XcO_4...

"This is a very strange behavior of a male black stork. We have never seen such a strong reaction to the presence of a camera in this species before. The camera is small and is located on a neighboring pine tree about 12-15 meters away. It has a small glossy lens with a diameter of 7 centimeters. Such a great interest of the bird in this webcam may prove that it is a completely new individual in this nest. Probably decided to check what is so shiny and is it safe?
