Hello everyone
Chicks will be today 20/20 days old
(hatching: 01.05, 01.05, 03.05 - perished 18 days old, 04.05 - died 5 days old: parental infanticide/brood reduction)
very sad news
the youngest chick of the trio perished (most probably because hypothermia and scarce of food)
in Adriana's shots, the youngest chick was just passively sitting in the afternoon
little one here yesterday in the evening

most probably benjamin isn't more alive or it is the last minutes of our little storklet's life

my last yesterday shot

one of the very rare sightings - all three storks have full crops (19.05)

fingers crossed very much for the duo!

Re: Parco Gallipoli - Oliveto Lucano

I won't be watching the nest this morning - I don't want to see what the adult will do with the dead chick (if tries to swallow it - they do it when there is a lack of food - it won't be a pretty sight)
