Yes, I agree with that. Note that the female has redder legs than the male. So I guess the theory that the male has redder legs
is moot 8-)

- redder legs are related to high hormone levels at the beginning of the breeding season and not to the sex of the individuals
- at the beginning of the season, I had the impression that our male had redder legs
- now our female has more frayed feathers on her right wing (moulting process)
- rings with a well-readable code would be the most reliable here as well
