By the way I looked at last year's (2022) thread where we also counted and numbered the matings- this proves to be a very useful thing now
About a week before laying the 1st egg, they mated about 3-6 times a day (max number was 9).
From Kaia it was a familiar situation- avoiding copulations very often. But all the eggs were fertilized anyway and we enjoyed a beautiful season with the K+K family

They probably went to breakfast, as they were away from the nest for a long time.

6.30 - Karl is back and singing


Karl was fixing the nest and resting.

7.15 - Karl flew away - 7.17 - Karl is back with twig.
7.34 - Karl flew away - 7.37 - Karl is back with moss

Karl stayed on the nest and waited for the arrival of Kaia

At 10.22 - Karl sings,maybe a stranger was moving near the nest

Karl stayed on the nest and worked on nest, preening
