But here is a nice portrait of Figo this morning. 8-)

- at our place we still exercise, even in the middle of the day (13:57), so the heat is not so bothering for them
- our young take care of their plumage and their siblings' plumage
- the nests from which one young bird flies are, however, deprived of this care from siblings, which they do not have; it is not known if it is significant, but it may have some; in addition, there is also the bill fencing, which is evidently training in the precise use of the bill
- nasz Figo ma 63 dni, czyli ma za sobą 63 dni, a Fago 62

FEEDINGs
- we had a batrachological day again - only frogs and tadpoles with water - such a cocktail for heat,
- Flo x 4 , Fer x 1.

TRANSMITTERs:
- the one from Spała 2020 moved a bit and is near Żychlin,
- the stork from Kutno from 2021 still on the Oder,
- no data from stork hatched in Piotrków forest district

- they certainly not starving

VISITs

TRANMISTTERs

FEEDINGs
- today 3 feedings: Flo x 2, Fer x 1
- Flo - mixed menu variant, Fer - frogs

VISITs
- from 13.34 to 15.22: our deer was resting in its hole
- 14.25: unannounced visit of a hawk, but the attack is ineffective

TRANSMITTERs
- the one from Piotrków from 2020 for the summer liked northern Moldova
- the others did not send data

15.10 - Figo climbs a thick bough, although with some shyness
19.58 - Figo shows his abilities - Figo is probably the first to dare to jump to the side. He is older and braver. I thought he would do it today

Q
Barbara O. @Piotr Zieliński is this amount of food sufficient?
A
Piotr Zieliński @Barbara O. - definitely, 3 feedings is a lot, of course if they got more, they would eat even twice as much
Q
Barbara O. @Piotr Zieliński How long can stork DNA testing take?
A
Piotr Zieliński @Barbara O. In practice, it takes several hours. And "soon" we will get to it. Of course, those from the online nest will go first.
Q
Silka Piotr, are there data on the survival rate of logged chicks depending on gender?
A
Piotr Zieliński there is no such data
Q
Monika Kowal Professor can storks stand on one tree together with cormorants?
A
Piotr Zieliński@Monika Kowal - only occasionally, because cormorants nest colonially and there is a terrible harmider (Marika: harmider - zgiełk: noise); but it happens that in Masuria they rest on the same tree; but they could not be close to each other. Black stork is not tolerant

Piotr Zieliński

- 5.32 Figo: pellet
- 07.16 Figo: high fly up, fly over
- 07.19 Figo: nibbles Fago on the neck and head - this is the result of Figo's emotions

FEEDINGs
- 6x (06:40, 08:56, 10:46, 12:50, 14:07, 18:58)
- Flo x 4 including fish twice; Flo's first feeding with the fish at 6.40.; Flo brought two large fish - one for each; at 12:50 he brought over a dozen medium fish
- Flo and Fer's other feedings are frogs and tadpoles

- Fer broke the record today - at 10.46 Fer was on the nest for only 8 seconds while feeding
- also feedings go within the normal range, which does not encourage the young to leave the nest

TRANSMITTERs
- stork from n. Spała from 2020 is between Żychlin and Kutno
- others without signal

Hi Justyna,
thank you :-).
I believe both storklets return safely to the nest again. Finger crossed very much!

edit:
- now Fer (female) is back on the nest ready for feeding his big offspring
- observers hear young storks somewhere under the nest and there is opinion that young storks were fed on the ground (wingflapping)

Flo: at 09.42 - 09.45 - 9.46 (in and out); 09.47 away
Fer: at 10.35 in and at 10.46 out, back 10.47 and she feeds Figo, out at 10.50

prof. PZ is on the chat (10.43 and next):
- To Fer - nie wie co zrobić
- Flo szybciej wpadł na to, że ma zlecieć i nakarmić
- nie możemy nic zrobić, bo po pierwsze przeszkodzimy rodzicom
- po drugie młode już latają i przy próbie złapania nam po prostu odlecą. A spłoszone mogą sobie zrobić krzywdę. Poza tym jak odlecą za daleko, to rodzice ich nie znajdą

translation:
- This is Fer - he doesn't know what to do
- Flo soon discovered that he need to fly down and feed them
- there is nothing we can do because we will disturb our parents first
- secondly, the young ones are already flying and when trying to catch them they will simply fly away. And, frightened, they can hurt themselves. Besides, if they fly too far, their parents won't find them

btw. 10.50 Figo is back :D
EDIT: 10.57 also Fago is on the nest :D

if nothing unusual happen so more in the (late) evening
