OVERVIEW

BLUE arrived in Crete on Oct 7 and he has been exploring Crete almost every day since arriving on the island . Stork has long been only in the north of Crete by the Mouselas River, which is a natural border of the prefectures of Chania and Rethymno.

stork arrived to this area on Sep 11 (Gornje Podunavlje Special Nature Reserve is a large protected area of wetland in the northwest of Serbia, on the Danube's left bank)

still in the same area - near the port (Luka Bogojevo) approx 4 km from Bogojevo - village located in Odžaci municipality, West Bačka District, Serbia

the newest lcalisations: at 21h on the tree, at 24h (blue dot) on the opposite site and at 3h in the favourite wet area (white flag)

BLUE is again over the sea (in the southern part of the island)

1/ data session at 10h - localisations approx. at 8h : new localisations are in the southern part of the island, not far from the Atherinolakkos IC Power Plant (Lasithi, Crete, Greece) (first localisation at 08:08:32 north from Kato Zarkos, 08.46 he is over the sea on the southern edge, but again flies back and continued to the west/8.49, approx. at 09.07 Blue is again over the sea not far from the Atherinolakkos IC Power Plant)
2/ data session at 12h - localisations approx. at 10h : stork flies over the mainland to the north
3/ data session at 14h - localisations approx. at 12h : at 10.22 Blue is again in the eastern part the island (near the morning area, where flew to the sea) and the last localisations are north-east above the sea (to the east from the shore)

3/ data session at 14h - localisations approx. at 11h : at 10.22 Blue is again in the eastern part the island (near the morning area, where flew to the sea) and the last localisations are north-east above the sea (to the east from the shore)



these localisations are only approx. 0.5 km from the seashore

newest data: 2021-11-16 00:01:26 (UTC) between Kafret Hamdan and Al Maktilah

finger crossed very very much - Sahara is (very) big challenge

Oh My God!!! Blue had the urge to fly for a while now....but now he actually flew! I'm keeping my fingers crossed too!
Is that 13 hours of flight over the sea?
I hope for a safe place for food and rest!
