If you're unsure about their physical traits, look for behavioural clues to tell female Zica and male Nataliou apart. Even during incubation, Zica is usually very active: while sitting, she constantly pulls moss toward her body, rearranges twigs, and intensely aerates the nest bowl. She also spends a lot of time preening her feathers. It’s quite rare to see her just "sitting" / kneeling in a relaxed way .
