07.17 Karl arrives and feeds (1) the chicks! Karl's head and neck is wet- he must have searched for food in deeper waters.




After feeding Karl stood in the nest for a few minutes.


07.32 Karl leaves.

#3 is already standing firmly without falling. Spreading the wings makes him go out of balance still- but already less.

The dawn feathers are becoming loose already. Every time the chicks wlap their wings or preen themselves, some little white feathers fly around in the air. It doesn't show well on the photo...

After feeding Kaia goes to the curved branch. Her neck and belly are also wet. She must've been hunting in deeper waters too

After a few minutes on the curved branch, Kaia stands next to the chicks for some time.
08.50 Kaia jumps to the lower branch.

I'm sorry to say that this will bve the last documenting from me today / tomorrow.

Today is Midsummer's Eve , the most important day of the year for estonians
This means party time! I will be (hopefully) back tomorrow afternoon

HELLO again

I am back from my little vacation / celebration and now ready to document again
