Eggs are 4/2 days old today.

Matings: 5 (yesterday 3)
Materials: 11 (yesterday 9)
-moss 7
-twigs 4

Events:
12.18 A stranger disturbs Karl and tries to land in the nest.

05.23 Good morning, Karl. He spent the night alone, Kaia hasn't still returned.

I think that Kaia will not lay any more eggs... :? That's OK! Two thriving chicks is better than 4 hungry ones!

10.20 Karl tries to mate but can't get to Kaia's back. He slips and falls off.

11.21 Kaia leaves.

12.15 Karl notices someone. He starts to tuck in his head and look up and around.
12.16.33 A shadow flies over the forest. There is someone circling over the nest!
12.17.41 Karl starts to call to sound the alert. At the same time he is pretecting the eggs and covers them.
12.18 A stranger tries to land on the nest! Karl II quickly drives it away!

Luckily rest of the incubation time passed without any incidents. ;)

13.47 Kaia comes home! Karl greets her.

13.53 Kaia continues incubating.

16.15 Karl comes home.
16.19 Karl continues incubation and Kaia kisses him ;)

19.07 Karl brings his last delivery of moss, then rolls the eggs and at 19.09 he sits on the eggs.

21.48 Karl takes over the egg care duties- rolling, aerating, incubating.
21.52 Kaia goes on top of Karl again. We haven't seen that for a while :lol:
