NEWS FROM FERNANDO, FIGO AND FAGO!

Our FERNANDO has been eating near Bucharest since 13.08. He's been there for 36 days now. At that time, it covered large areas to the north, west and south of Bucharest. 1.09 he even made a two-day trip to the Aluta River (left tributary of the Danube).
He visited the dam on Aluta in Babic, he flew another 40 km further west, but finally returned to the Neajlov River.
It often eats in fields and in irrigation canals. If there were no trees in the places where he was eating, he would fly up to 3 km to spend the night in the trees.
Shallow streams with a natural flow suit him the most for devouring
He should soon embark on a further journey to be beyond the Sahara in October.

FIGO continues to eat in Romania west of the Danube, and FAGO in Hungary in the valley of Cisa!

FERNANDO is resting in Romania, and FIGO and FAGO were together!

Our bull FERNANDO (yes, it's a bull ) started south from Bucharest on 3.10.2023, but did not fly far. He liked the Danube meadows and stayed there for the night.
On 4.10.2023 he was still foraging on the Danube near the town of Ruse in Romania.

Meanwhile, an unexpected situation occurred in Turkey on FIGO and FAGO's migration route to Africa. On 26.09 around 14:00 our storks from the 2022 online nest met in front of the city of Konya and flew side by side for several hours. On 26/27.09 they spent the night just a few metres from each other.
There were no trees in that area, so they spent the night on the ground. On 27.09 they also flew side by side all day at a distance of several - tens of metres. On 27.09.just before the night they moved a little away from each other and spent the night at a distance of 960 m - Fago on an electricity pole, Figo on a tree. On the morning of 28.09 their flight paths through the Iskenderun Bay clearly diverged and they continued flying independently through Turkey, Syria and Israel.
We are waiting for new signals from Figo and Fago.

Our Fernando over the Danube is not alone. There is another stork from 2023 from the Zloczew Forestry District and one from 2022 from the Piotrków Forestry District in Romania over the Danube.
