Due to the drought, the waters of Lake Akşehir receded and agricultural areas emerged. As a result of the work done, title deeds were given to the farmers and grain, sugar beet and poppy production began. With the update made by Akşehir Municipality, the shoreline of the lake was determined and the ownership issue was resolved. While the Ministry supports the continuation of agricultural activities, it also continues to take measures to protect the lake.
