Hello everyone

Chicks will be today 81/81 days old
(hatching: 01.05, 01.05, 03.05 - perished 18 days old, 04.05 - died 5 days old: parental infanticide/brood reduction)
on 16.07 the first storklet fledged, on 17.07 the second storklet fledged too (5 / 4 days ago)

the nest is empty right now

Angela Ciliberti (Angela is employed at Parco Gallipoli Cognato) wrote to me on our FB page yesterday in the evening:

Here there are almost 40 degrees…poor them …I think they go next to the river for long periods

male arrived,waited long minutes (cleaning, preening, observing the surrounding) and flew away (10.52 - 11.09)
shots follows - later, done



continuation:
- he is again back 11.13 and at 11.26 out



- streaming jumped - at 11.42 he is again on the nest; out 12.16 and at 12.22 again back



- 13.04 someone is nearby (maybe unwanted) - our stork is calling with fanned tail feathers; he flew out within 13.04 and 13.09 (I observed the nest of Kergu in this time)

- 14.23 stork is again on the nest
- 14.40 both adult stork are on the nest (female flew out between 15.09 and 15.20)

- male stayed on the nest till 17.57

I didn't see the chicks in the nest today (but I don't sit in front of the screen all day).
