Re: Karula National Park (Karl II and Kaia)
12.59 - Bonus is cleaning one of the chicks - an attempt at communication.
I noticed that the K&K chicks do not communicate as much as Bonus was used to with his own siblings.
14.16 - The chicks started chirping and lined up in a circle - as if they saw one of the parents, but nothing was visible on the camera. No one flew in and the chicks ones stopped chirping after a while.
14.17 - Bonus PS almost nothing (bad)

Re: Karula National Park (Karl II and Kaia)
Hi, Adriana.
Thanks for updates.
As for the biting of the rings and legs- it seems more playful than to do any harm to Bonus. The storklets are getting more curious every day. So in my eyes it's not a problem
And it's good to see them playing games and bonding. They have become a big happy family now. I notice Bonus and K3( the smallest one) together side by side quite often.
Thanks for updates.

Re: Karula National Park (Karl II and Kaia)
I noticed very small PS among KK's chicks even before Bonus's arrival. Although the food is not a big problem and the chicks are fed regularly and sufficient.
Maybe it's the heatwave- body needs more hydration, thus it produces less waste...that's my version..
Let's not think any worrysome thoughts yet
Re: Karula National Park (Karl II and Kaia)
I noticed this mainly because the other chicks had PS just fine. That's why I was a little surprised by PS Bonus.Madli wrote: ↑02 Jul 2022, 13:48I noticed very small PS among KK's chicks even before Bonus's arrival. Re: Karula National Park (Karl II and Kaia)
Maybe they will be a nice couple in the future - Bonus is a boy and the youngest is a girl.Madli wrote: ↑02 Jul 2022, 13:43 Hi, Adriana.
