14.33 - Kaia arrived and Bonus intimidates


Kaia landed near the nest. About 14.37 - she left:

Do you think Kaia isn't afraid of that? The behavior of the chicks would indicate this.

[Madli]

JJ only defended when Kaia arrived, as soon as she had landed and the other chicks started chirping, JJ started chirping too. But Kaia didn't come to the nest anyway.

Kaia must be very confused, but I hope that her instincts of feeding the chicks are stronger.

Let's see what happens. JJ isn't used to being visited or fed by a real stork anymore..at least it seems that way. Plus Karl and Kaia are both strangers.

Karl doesn't seem to have a problem with the new chicks. He's a hero ! Kaia is probably confused, she needs time.

These were some good feedings
Karl's feeding at 15.41 was 3rd feeding of the day, Kaia's feeding at 17.31 was 4th of the day.

After feeding Kaia goes to her usual place- the curved branch. The chicks behind her are chirping and nodding their heads.

I noticed that while the KK chicks still spend most of their time sitting, then JJ likes to stand and look around
