20.29 - Bonus must have smelled a fishy smell and started to investigate the place.

Gradually, the other chicks began to join him .

One of the chicks from K&K grabbed a fish.

There was a stalemate for a while

Bonus grabbed the fish back, but in the back it was grabbed by the chick, who watched it indifferently.

Unfortunately Bonus didn't eat it? It looks that one of the K's got it.

This is the first time that our K chicks have to learn the meaning of hunger. It is a sensation that they are not used to ;) Of course it makes them nervous.
And Bonus must learn to fight for food. It doesn't just fall into his mouth anymore. The chicks at the clinic didn't have to compete for a full belly, there was always plenty for everybody.
Laws of nature are different. But I'm positive and think that it will be OK.

Absense of Kaia is very questionable though.. :?

I'm also concerned that Kaia didn't show up. Maybe she was nearby, because today the chicks reacted twice by preparing for the parent's arrival, but no one flew to the nest. Maybe it was Kaia checking on the chicks from afar - are there still so many of them?

22.45 - change to night vision

23.14 - It is already too dark for Kaia to fly to feed the chicks. :(

They had little food today :( . Hopefully the feeding will be much better tomorrow.
Good night everyone and I wish you a peaceful night on the nest.

Adriana, thank you for today's entries.
My day was busier than I expected- visiting my parents in the countryside, making strawberry jam and syrup from a herb called meadowsweet :)

And it isn't easy when almost every member of the family want to use the computer.

Kaia was in the nest for the last time at 09.57 for the feeding. She didn't show up during the day.
