06.03 FEEDING (1) Karl serves a small snack for the kids. Everyone gets a small bite.


06.37 KAIA arrives. The chicks are growling. Karl leaves and the chicks are growling again. They are very sensitive to sounds and already very alert.
Karl's nest duty was 9 h 47 min.

06.40 FEEDING (2) Kaia offers a big pile of small things. Probably frogs and small fish. It all just looks like a grey porridge
All chicks eat with great appetite!

They are twittering loudly.
Kaia decides to feed them.

07.11 FEEDING (3) Little leftovers from Kaia, but everyone gets a few small bites.

The trio is growing every day. #3 is also getting bigger and stronger.

09.53 KARL arrives. Kaia doesn't regognize him at first and starts to defend the chicks.
Kaia's nest duty was 3 h 16 min.

10.00 FEEDING (4) Lots of fish from Karl. At first a big fish comes out, older one grabs it. Then Karl regurgitates a second pile of fish. All eat good!

10.16 The chicks are twittering and touching, grabing Karl's bill. He gets ready to regurgitate food, but then stops and starts to preen the chicks instead.

11.27 Like little penguins in a row


11.57 The chicks start twittering and begging for food.

11.58 FEEDING (5) Some leftover fish. They fall out in one big sticky lump, but all chicks manage to get some fish from it.
