the life on the nest changes some times very quickly

the change:
1/ M arrives (10.37.35) - 2/ F short communication: F says him about news (who know, maybe - 3/ F out (10.37.46)

13.14 - 13.23 - Jan thoroughly cleaned and massaged the chicks, even the youngest chick enjoyed .

13.48 - Another cleansing and massage, this time not so long.

14.06 - Jan feeds, two chicks (three?) ate. It was a very small piece of fish. Does Jan no longer have supplies?

15.02 change, F in at 15.02.46 - immediately M out at 15.02.49 (3 sec. )



- and immediately feeding, all 4 ate, the hatchling isn't interested, it is still sleepy:



- the hole is much bigger in the last egg (15.08)


FEMALE is on the nest from 15.02

- 15.03 FEEDING - the quartet ate well
- aerating, cleaning the chicks, fluffing the moss
- 15.09 F covered the chicks and the loudly talking egg (F is resting - her bill is open)

- 15.37 F again settled down
- 15.59 again up and she takes care of the chicks and the nest-bowl

- 16.01 FEEDING - maybe one of the storklets (No4?) wasnt interested yet
- F pooped and she is still/again caring of her chicks
- 16.09 F settled down, she moves twigs, collects moss
- 16.14 again up and the caring continued
- 16.16 F again covers the chicks (F is sleeping, resting - her bill is open)

....
- 17.02 she stand up, pooped and the next preening session started
- 17.03 - 17.14 F is caring of the chicks and the nest-bowl
- from 17.14 short self preening and again preening, aerating (she shakes her plumage), and again she is busy with storklets
- for a short while she fluffed the moss and is aerating, thank again take s care of her offspring
- 17.27 F covered the chicks
- 17.55 chick chirp, F stand up and start with caring (she stimulates the chicks also to defecate this way)
- 17.57 FEEDING started, the first pile isn't big already, than once more - 3 are interested, one of the elder later too and one chick is al the feeding time sleepy (maybe the youngest one)

....
- after feeding at 17.57 female again take cares of the chicks and the nest bowl
- 18.08 chicks are tired, they sleep - F fuffs the moss, aerates and again preens the chicks for a short wile
- 18.11 F settled down, she is sleeping and resting (with open bill)
- 18.46 up, FEEDING but she regurgitated only skeleton from one not big fish and so ate it back
- and again the next big caring continued

Janika returned at 15.02 46 and Jan left at 15.02.50. (new record: exchange took 4 seconds):


15.03 - After Janika's arrival, she fed four chicks.:

16.01 - Janika feeds - four chicks eat.:

17.03 - 17.27 Janika thorough cleans and massages the chicks, ( almost half an hour! )

17.57 - Janika feeds - even the youngest ate , one slept. Then came the cleansing of the chicks.

- M after arrival started taking care of the offspring (and the nest bowl - moved and fluffed the moss)
- 19.04 settled down
- 19.11 up, caring of the chicks, (pooping), self-preening,
- 19.14 FEEDING some lampreys - one chicks is interested (I am not sure if swaloved it)
- M ate the lampreys back and covered them at 19.18
- 19.19 again up and takes care of the chicks and
- 19.21 settled down
- 19.55 FEEDING a lot of lampreys - 4 chick ate, the youngest one wasnt interested, one had problem swallowing the long lamprey)
- M ate moss (19.48, 20.01 and pooped), 20.02 chicks in food coma (one has still the end of the lamprey out from his little bill)

....
- 20.05 M covers the chicks
- 20.20 he stand up - 20.20.34 one storklet pooped direction to the rim of the nest-bowl
- 20.22 M settled down
- 20.41 up, pooping on the nest rim and feeding started
- 20.42 FEEDING: 2 pille food, only one is interested in lampreys, later the next, most of them M ate from this reason back (loud egg talk)
- M pulled the long lamprey out of the bill of the storklet closer to the camera and later pulled it out of the bill the other chick too (but that was probably just the end of the lamprey; these lampreys are too long for our very little storklets
- 20.47 M settled down, 20.53 he collected the moss
- 20.52 up and takes care of the chicks (shakes his plumage), 20.55 covered his offspring
- M is resting/sleeping (eye is closed)

- 21.11 wake up, stand up and the cleaning ritual started (21.12 M pooped)
- 21.12 FEEDING: M regurgitated only few pieces, one storklet swallowed on lamprey
- M continued with taking care of the chicks and the nest-bowl (ruffle the moss) and at 21.15 he covered his offspring

- M takes care of his offspring repeatedly at: 21.41, 22.07, 22.13, 22.39, 23.09 (thx Adriána!) + 23.29, 00.08 (the egg is loud)
