What is the difference between the begging and "go away" body language?
these are just my thoughts (what I read somewhere sometime in the past) - I haven't verified anything in scientific sources yet

- every black storks near the nest (on the nest) is potential food provider - little storklets are always hungry

1/ threat + defensive behaviour (anti-predator defence)
- wings partially open, ruffled feathers and a rigid body/frozen, typical noises/growling
or you mean something else? "go away"

2/ "food waiting behaviour"
- sitting/kneeling on its tarsi, wings first only partially open, and begging with nodding movements/nodding their head (waiting for food delivery when they are hungry)
- twittering, circle, wing flapping (when they see the arrival or fly one BS very near the nest) and the moving their bills toward the parents bill

after translating the relevant part from the Book, I will add more scientific sentences

edit:
I don't see this situation (I was out)

I mean for example when there is a strange stork around who they don't recognize.

For example here https://ciconianigra.sk/viewtopic.php?p=6722#p6722 in my video from 20.07.2022 when the stranger landed under the nest. The chicks acted in a similar way as today? They were nodding and twittering, but not flapping with wings (except for at the very beginning)

Madli yes, very similar situation - very similar behaviour (but no "go away" - come in!)
- my interpretation of what I saw: in my opinion black stork circled above the nest and than settled down on one not very nearby branch; because it was clear for the storklets, this stork will not approach the nest - we don't see wing-flapping, but there was still little hope for food delivery - we saw begging, nodding and they twittering long minutes
- if strange or parent stork? in my opinion most probably it was one strange stork (probably it is the same visitor, lonely female?)
