Good morning!

I am now preparing the video of the whole ringing event. It is going to take a loooong time- I have never made subtitles and I hope I can get them to work somehow So patience, please.


The rest of the night was calm for the chicks.
They rested for a while.

03.05 K1 gets up, others soon join.




They spent the rest of the night standing.

05.30 The camera is still on night vision. It happened also the last time when there were visitors at night and the camera zoom changed.


05.45 Camera turns to color mode.

[Madli]

05.59 The chicks are all searching for somethng from the nest floor. One found a small piece and now everyone wants to play with it.






I hear chainsaws in the far distance ?

06.47 Karl arrives for feeding (1) He brought lots of small fish!






Karl didn't pay any attention to the new accessories on the chick's backs. They are well-disguised.
The feeding lasted only a few seconds and Karl leaves immediately.

[Madli]

The chicks are still twittering and looking around after Karl leaves the nest. Maybe he is perching somewhere nearby?


06.49 K2 gets into begging position-all are still twittering. Then Karl leaves? Suddenly the chicks go silent.

08.33 Resting time. They had a long preening session prior to that


It sounds like it's slightly raining.

08.40 A thrush ? Is making noise in the forest. Our chicks don't see it as a threat, but they stand still and listen.


They observe for several minutes.

09.00 I can hear the rain again.
The chicks are quite inactive today morning. They preen themselves and just look around, not much movement and activity. Instead they yawn a lot.
