No Kaia in the nest for tonight....we will see if she returns in the morning. I'm sure she will!

Good morning.
Karl ll woke up alone and started working at 5.52
He calls and starts working and preening himself.

10.15 Kaia still hasn't come back. Karl ll os patiently waiting in the nest...
10.23 Karl ll flies out.
10.24 He returns very excited, calling loudly.
10.25 Kaia is back! They have a long and very lovely greeting.
Kaia gpes to stand on the curved branch.
10.31 After some preening, Karl starts to gently clatter his bill, Kaia steps doen from the curved branch and they start to do the pre-mating dance, but they do not mate.
10.31 Kaia starts to peck on the nest floor and lies down for a moment.
10.33 Mating attempt by Karl, but Kaia doesn't allow...
10.35 Another attempt, Kaia steps on the curved branch.
10.37 She steps down. Mating continues.
10.23 Karl ll flies out.
10.24 He returns very excited, calling loudly.
10.25 Kaia is back! They have a long and very lovely greeting.

13.25 Mating attempt. Karl is gently poking Kaia's back to call her down from the curved branch. They do one circle of the dance, but no mating.
13.28 Another mating attempt. They do the dance, and Kaia steps back on the branch.
14.04 Again similar situation. Karl starts to approach for mating, Kaia is not interested...
