It's strange that Karl hasn't been to the nest yet..he has been gone for 17 hours already

Hi Madli . As I read, Karl has not been in the nest since yesterday. Was he gone until the chicks hatched?
I hope that the same situation will not happen again. Everything that can be complicated is thus complicated . I hope for Karel's early return.

Karl has been taking longer breaks before. It is unusual of him, but it happens sometimes.

I was away ( taking a nap ) and as I read back the comments in the chat, Karl came home in the mean time

Luckily there is wind today and the chicks are not so hot. They feel cooled down and they are not banting today like ducks




Thankfully the wind didn't turn into a storm..

14.58 Karl is home after 19 h 31 min.. He feeds the chicks with a lot of fish (2) and leaves again immediately.






I'm happy to see that Karl is OK!

15.08 Older chicks make a PS, it is just a small drop for both. Very little. They have been eating good, so I hope that the amount of PS has decreased due to hot weather ( to preserve moisture in the body?) not due to hunger.
