I get the feeling that something is not right with this nest. Very often we see the visiting storks take threatening positions and acting like something disturbs them...

21.21 - night vision, empty nest

30 April
Hello
The nest was emty at night
10.02 A stork lands on the nest and is immediately attacked by a raptor- Goshawk? The stork immediately flies away.
It all happens so fast that I can only get these blurry images.
Now we probably know what caused all this stress in the visiting storks.
Unfortunately, this is not a safe nest

Re: Jõgeva County (Jan and Janika)
- in breeding season all birds are very, very territorial (I saw in one RS how white stork male killed another white stork in rescue station in the breeding time because this stork walked "near" their nest)
- this time they don't want potential predators around them: raven - eggs, goshawk - chicks, marten - eggs and chicks, WTE is the most dangerous for eggs, chicks and some times also for adults (but black storks are excellent fliers, they manoeuvrer well even in forests due to their wing structure)
