Bodzio można powiedzieć, że kręci się od trzech dni w jednym miejscu, dziś chyba ruszył dalej w dobrym kierunku SW
BODZIO can be said that he has been in one place for three days, today he probably moved further in the right direction to SW

Bodzio from Bolewice in France near Lyon

BODZIO left his mother Skierka in Poland (she has not left yet) and "sister" BAJKA (she still feeds 🦈 on the Odra River), he rushed forward and is already 1000 km 👏 from his family nest in Bolewice forest district. On the way in Germany, he parked for a few days, ate 🐟 and yesterday flew almost 400 km in one day SW direction! Bodzio, so HOLD UP! 👍 (take care)

Continuation

I don't have an exact location, but judging by the end point on the map, I believe that Bodzio's location could be somewhere in this area.

Image

There is a lake or an over-grown pond in the area. Possible stopping place for Bodzio.

Ale Bajka nad Odrą przemieszcza się wciąż? Jest cała i zdrowa? Bodzio, brawo!😊
But Bajka on the Oder is still moving? Is she alive and well? Bodzio, bravo! 😊

Hi Madli,
yes - there are ponds (ponds are not the usually place for food searching, they prefer shallow water)

we will see, but to me it is not the best place for one stop-over

BAJKA 28.08

Bajka from Bolewice already in a stork paradise in the Hungarian forest
Oh, Bajka shook us a lot before she finally decided which direction she wanted to fly in: NW / NE / SW / SE / E 🙃 Then a stop and foraging for 6 days on #zatrutejOdra and then S and finally SE. So she chose: the eastern migration route. Yesterday she found herself in the Great Hungarian Plain 🌏 in a wonderful place for many migrating birds. Puszta is a real SPA for European black storks: deserted spaces, ditches, canals, ponds, fish, amphibians, invertebrates ... 🙂 She landed near the Kecskeri puszta nature reserve. It was already 1,200 km away from Bodzia, which chose the western direction. Probably now Bajka will stay a bit in this stork paradise, before it flies further into the unknown.

Bajka's total route
Bajka was already 1,200 km away from Bodzio, which chose the western direction.

This is an excellent area for Bajka to stop over. In 2021 Udu- juvenile from Estonia spent time in the same place near Bánhalma and the Sóskúti-halastó fish ponds.

Where's Bodzio? Where's Bajka?
Bodzio, after a long stop on the N from Lyon, yesterday set off on a further journey to the west,
Bajka is still stationed in Hungary on the Tisza and is gathering strength. The siblings are already separated by a distance of approximately 1500 km! Despite the fact that the male Bolek in Bolewice Forest District fed the young from July 2 to August 15, completely alone - as you can see - he did a great job. 😘
(Bajka is stationed: PL stacjonować = stay somewhere for a while)

Although BODZIO still seems to be in France, not yet in Spain..

Bodzio moved more than 500 km to the south (SW) - from Lyon to e.g. Toulouse, but to Pau it is more than 700 km
