KERGU is male BS breeding in northern part of Pärnu county. 2022 in his nest fledged three juveniles.
Kergu got ring 11 years ago as a chick in a nest 8-9 km away from his current nest. This year he had 3 well-fed chicks who all fledged. On 7th July all weighed over 3 kg. Kergu is a location name - Kergu nature protection area where the stork is from.

Kergu Nature Reserve: The area of the nature reserve is 437 ha.The protected area was founded in 2007 to protect valuable habitat types and threatened species in Metsaküla and Sohlu village (both in former Kaisma Parish) and in Viluvere village (Vändra Parish). Kergu continued on his way to the south and successfully crossed the Gulf of Iskenderun (the path line is starting in the area of the Yumurtalık Lagoon). Our stork continued over the Nur Mt. and flew over the southern outskirts of the city of Hatay. Latest localisation is on one tree (terraced plots) in Altınözü district in the south-east of Hatay Province (in one triangle: south form the village Dursunlu, resp. west from Enek and east from the town Harbiye). No more data.
