Merowe airport area
A modern airport in the eastern side of Merowe city, it is designed based on the newest international technology systems. The airport covers an area of 18 km² (6 km x 3 km), and it can receive large planes, including Airbus A380 and Boeing B747.

Waba continued to the north and spent the time on the eastern shore the Merowe Reservoire. Newest localisation is on Waba's way back (mid-flight data) above the fields near the town Merowe (not far from the Merowe airport).
