BLUE - OVERVIEW

BLUE stayed last week on Crete and explored the areas with water reservoirs and streams

BLUE reached the easternmost point on 09.10. and the westernmost point on 11.10.2021, the southernmost point reached yesterday/18.10. (over sea - not very far from coast)

BLUE continuation

Blue arrived to this yesterday area at 11.06 - localisation is above one football field.
the path line No1: Stork continued to the SE (also above the Armanogeion Lake) and turned next to SW. There he stayed (resting - feeding) from 11.20 to 13.05.
the path line No2: After this stay Blue flew first to the west, to one not very big reservoir, but he don't stay there. Stork continued with circle fly-path and came back to the midday place. Probably some kind of wet area in the valley.

the newest data are from today morning (19.10), BLUE headed to the north-west

yesterday path (incomplete data)
on 18.10. BLUE flew from the night resting place to the south-east (to Kastri), continued to the east - to the artificial lake of the Bramiana dam (north form Iaepetra), than turned to the west, and the last know localisation is on 18.10 at 12h

GREEN: same area - localisations are east from the confluence Drava - Danube (on the left bank of the Danube), not far to the south from Ribarevo (lodging) - Apatin, Serbia, respectively north from Aljmaš - a village in the Erdut municipality in eastern Croatia (Aljmaš lies on the right bank of the Danube)

stork flew in the morning to the right (it seems more wet area) and back to its main area

GREEN worries me a little - yesterday stork moved on very little place (approx. 200x100m, most probably don't flew - speed is 0 - 2 km all day, except very few data) and stork don't flew to its previous night place

discovering Crete on 18.10.

BLUE flew after overnight to SE (Kastri), continued to the east (Bramiana reservoire). Approx. at 10h stork turned back and flew to the west. At 12h headed directionn NW and after 13 h he made a big circle and stayed at another artificial lake not far from Faneromeni

the area approx. from 9 to 10 h: Bramiana reservoire area - one of Crete’s biggest wetlands. This Europa 2000 Nature Reserve, known primarily for its bird life, is also a botanical wonderland.
