New information from Urmas: "Here is the X-ray of Katrin's right wing. It is impossible to fly with such a fracture. She has probably hit something(most likely a power-line) The found bird weighed only 1,8 kg, so she was very skinny. On the other hand, we don't know how long she walked on foot."
This is my version:
Katrin flew back to Yayakent in the evening of 11.12. She didn't go to her usual roosting spot in the nearby forest on the hill, but stayed besides the creek. This could be the reason of a recent injury. An injury in her wing is visible at the first examination after the body was found. We know from the weather forecast that it was a rainy evening. The visibility might have been bad and collisions with foreign objects could occur often. We also know that since then, she didn't fly. On 12.12, Katrin moved only about 1 km along the creek (on foot). 13.12 Katrin moved less than a hundred meters. 13/14.12 night she perished. So there was clearly something wrong. And if she was already skinny and malnourished, there was no chance for her.
I'm thinking that all these weeks she spent flying around different places, she was probably looking for new food sources, but as I questioned myself- what did she find from those half-dried up overgrown ditches, ?

Mare explored new places again to the east - the localisations L1, L2 are maybe in marshland area, the next tree localisations are near streams
