Timmu is adult Black Stork from Pärnu county
we have the opportunity to follow his migration since 2020 (the second season)

Timmu wintered in Ethiopia, NE of Methema by the Atbarah River and its tributaries (Metema woreda/district in the North Gondar Zone, the largest of the administrative zones of Amhara National Regional State, NW Ethiopia

we have the opportunity to follow his migration since this season (2021)
I am curious where it will wintering

Nurme is adult Black Stork whose territory is situated in west-central Estonia. He used artificial nest, refreshed it in spring, but did not find female to produce brood in 2021.
Started autumn migration in 2nd Aug, in 8 Aug reached stopover place in Ukraine (on the ponds in ).
Nurme continued to the south on 25.08 and crossed the Sea of Marmara on 28.08

KARL II

Adult male Black Stork from southern Estonia, Karula National Park. Ring nr 715R. This is the second year to follow Karl ll.
His nesting is broadcasted in YouTube's livestream. From his nest hatched Udu and Pikne, who's migration we can also observe (Tuul perished after few days on migration).

Karl II started his migration on August 23. From August 25 to 27 he stopped in Belarus. By August 31 Karl II arrived to his favourite stopover area in Ukraine, where he has been for a month now.



Karl II 's stopover is in Ukraine, by the Black Sea. He has two main areas, first are fields between villages Tarasivka and Hrushivka. Second area is by the Perekop Bay and village Oleksandrivka.

Juvenile Black Stork hatched in 2021 in Karula National Park, southern Estonia as one of 3 chicks.
He/She is wearing a ring number 716P.
Being the last one to leave the nest, he started his first migration on August 20. He flew straight to south and was already at his first stopover area in Ukraine by August 24. Another stopover in Ukraine from August 30 to September 3. Then moved to Moldova, where he is exploring large areas and stays there until September 29. By September 30, Pikne is in Romania, at a stopover area.

Juvenile Black Stork hatched in 2021 in Karula National Park, southern Estonia.
Wearing a ring number 716U.
Udu started migration on August 16 by flying in the western direction, not a typical path, To Saaremaa island and from there to Latvia. Also further path is not typical one for migration. Udu stopped in western part of Poland and took some time for thinking and calibrating the compass. North of Wrocław, Udu stopped from 25 August to 14 September, when it started flying over the Tatra Mountains to Hungary. In Hungary, he has been stopping at a large fish farm east of Bánhalma since 17 September.
