Hello everyone

Somewhere in the vicinity of RS Makov, a (wild) black stork lives in nature. The locals see him flying here and there, stork also gets used to sitting on the platform prepared for the young white storks from the RS. The head of the RS, Mr. Šejna (great photographer) managed to capture this BS (male maybe) like this on 06.08.2022.

Dnes ráno jsme vypustili dvě naše odchovaná mláďata černých čápů. Zítra dopoledne pustíme druhá dvě. Několik dnů k nám na podložku pro bílé čápy létají dva dospělí divocí černí čápi. Tak snad se spolu dají dohromady.
Teď už je to na nich, za chvíli by měli vyrazit na Afriku. Tak jim držte s námi palce, budou to moc potřebovat. Snad nám někdy přijde zpráva o jejich pozorování nebo hnízdění, to by bylo skvělý!

This morning we released two of our bred black storklets . We will release the second two tomorrow morning. For several days, two adult wild black storks fly to us on the white stork mast (with pad). So hopefully they will get together .
Now it's up to them, they should be leaving for Africa in a while. So keep your fingers crossed for them, they will need it a lot. Hopefully we can get a report of them sightings or nesting at some point, that would be great!

August 2022 with Toníček, Tonička and 4 Tončátka - 1.-18.8.2022

The family of black storks Toníčkovic from the rescue station Makov spent August in their netted area by their pond, where the young storks learned to fish and fly.
14. and 15. august 2022 were 4 young black storks caught from the netted area and released into the wild.
From 14. august 2022 to 18. august 2022 they appeared in front of the camera at the swan pond and in the meadow near the nest of white storks.
Since 19. august 2022 the young black storks are no longer visible in front of the cameras. They have flown away from the rescue station Makov.
