Q
TinaT: Piotr, do young storks learn to feed from their parents, from other adults, or themselves?
A
Piotr Zieliński:@TinaT - they learn by themselves and from other storks - by looking to follow them and self-improvement of their own technique (Marika: "przez podpatrywanie i samodoskonalenie własnej techniki" - podpatrywać = przyglądać się komuś, czemuś w celu późniejszego naśladowania = looking at someone for something to follow/imitation later)
Q
TinaT: Piotr, and theoretically how long can they not eat?
A
@TinaT - it depends on the temperature and their activity, but a few days without a problem
Q
Justyna: @Piotr Zieliński Tomorrow are you the last day of this season?
A
Piotr Zieliński: @Justyna - I won't be there later.
Q
Małgorzata Kulisz: And who will give us their location every day?
A
Piotr Zieliński: @ Małgorzata Kulisz - maybe not every day, but every few days there will be information on FB

Re: Łódź (Florentino/Flo and Fermina/Fer)
Sorry, I keep forgetting about it. I haven't written anything about Skierka, so I don't understand what's going on?

Looks like she has eaten well!

Even the wisest of us can't always foresee the next behavior of the storks. They can be full of surprisesmarika.solo wrote: ↑14 Aug 2022, 13:54

Urmas (2019):
"There is nothing in the nature 100% sure to predict, only probability can be sometimes higher (if we have more knowledge and experience to forecast)! So unforeseen events or skewed behaviour may happen if we are looking one or few individuals, but overall picture of population we can get through all information we have and if we know how to use that information."
