From the drone, summer in the Stăncuța fishing area
uploaded on 07.01.2025 by Catalin Morosanu Fishing and Hiking
This drone footage was filmed in the Stăncuța area of Brăila County, a region that has been heavily fished in recent years and continues to be fished today, mainly by anglers from Buzău and Prahova, but also, of course, by local fishermen from the Brăila area.
In the past, there were many irrigation canals here that held plenty of fish. They are still there today, although they have been much more heavily fished and poached over the years. Even so, this is still an area well worth stopping at for a fishing session.
Of course, the Danube is also nearby, offering the possibility of fishing from a boat and spending the night in a tent, which makes the area even more attractive.
There are also the paved canals, including the Magistrala canal leading towards Spiru Haret, as well as the canal passing through Stăncuța. In some years, these canals can hold some beautiful fish, although it depends largely on when they are filled and when they are drained.
All in all, it is an interesting area with plenty of fishing potential, especially for those who enjoy exploring different waters and fishing in less-known places.
